Instead of my usual goal of strict historical validity I decided to just make what the inspiration offered at the moment. This Gorget was a fun project for me as it is one of the only pieces of armour where I fulfilled my own personal creative desire. There are historical influences and it would probably be accepted as proper 16th century styling but is based on no particular original pieces.

What an awesome gorget. I'd like to see that as part of a whole baroque outfit.

It's absolutely stunning. Makes me wish we all had tournaments these days so I could see it up close.

Thanks Everyone :)

I really enjoyed making that piece. With the kind comments I suppose I should make more of that style. I have been wanting to make the shoulders for a year now. Maybe I will get some free time here in a few months to make them.

Thanks again.
wow, what a lovely piece. beautiful finish!
