Description

Another photo of one of the Gothic armours I have made. The suit is made from 20 to 14 gauge mild steel and brass.

This armour was made over a period of about 10 years, working on between other orders. I lost count of the time involved but I assume it was probably in the thousands of hours.

This suit was sold to the UK Royal Armouries where it is now being used for educational programs and demonstrations.

While I am moderately happy with how the suit turned out I know I could have done a lot better. A couple of years ago a customer ordered another suit like this from me and has given me the OK to go all out on it :) Now that I am caught up on most of my previous orders I have started on the new suit. Because I will be making this new armour much more detailed, but will be working on it full time, I expect it to take 18 months or so to complete. I will try to post pictures of the new harness as it progresses.

I have a bit more information and photos on my website at [link]

Great armor! The Emp. Maximilian himself would be proud to own it.  Years ago I tried to order a Morion from you but you said you were planning to stop forging. Sorry I never got one of you pieces but glad to see you are still working!
